High
flow, 7 Ύ diameter, low profile, poly pleated cleanable, 25 micron absolute, 40 gpm, ½ Hp jet pump rated. Ideal
for all use in cottage country. This product will give you gin clear
water throughout the cottage.
Cleaning Features: As required, deck brush
& hose off debris in place and if desired at end of season submerge
filter in Algae Stain Remover for two hours. Rinse with clean water
and put back in service. A quick disconnect is available to make
cleaning easier & simple.
Low
profile suitable for shallow water, and where wave or ice action
can be a factor.
Expected
cleanable filter life is between 3-5 years, approximate 250,000
gal capacity in clean lake water conditions. Unit rated for weekend
cottage applications. For homes, large cottages, boat traffic or
high silt areas, we suggest you move up one or two filter sizes.
Ie. ½ Hp jet pump, cottage use, select Zebra 40. ½ Hp jet pump, home use, select Zebra 90. For
irrigation or extensive lawn watering check with us or Team Zebra
Factory.
For ultimate cottage filtration select Zebra 170AC [activated carbon] to remove
mussels, taste colour & odour. Units can easily be mounted on
a standard concrete block or use an existing foot valve stand. In
high fishing areas, protect unit from hooks with an inexpensive
round green plastic container. |

Do It Yourself
Installation- replaces your existing foot valve and can be placed
on the lake bottom weighed down with a standard 18 x 18 patio
stone or simply attached to the leg of your dock. This unit is rated
at a maximum of 8 gpm up to ½ hp jet pump and has 5 standard 1 micron nominal, 25 micron absolute
filter cartridges [available through us at a cost of
$8.99 each] that should be replaced once a season. Constant exposure to surrounding water currents tends to make these
filters self cleaning, Once
your pump requires twice the time to recharge your system, you can
assume the cartridges should be pooped off and changed, a task that
takes only minutes. Zebra mussel veligers can get through spaces
30 microns in size and this 25 micron absolute filter will easily
prevent passage. These filters totally remove silt and ensure "gin clear" water and are
designed for summer or winter use. If in shallow water they should
be pulled out each fall to protect against ice damage. Check with
us or Team Zebra factory on irrigation and lawn watering applications.

of bacteria, Giardia, Cryptosporidium & E. Coli. Standard fittings
are included with each kit to suit 1 or 11/4 lines for up to ½

Recommended for
year round use. Based on proven European technology, this fast sand filter,
filters cottage inlet waters to a 5 micron nominal level protecting
piping from Zebra Mussels by drawing water down through layers of
fine sand, a filter pad and gravel to scrub the water clean. It
has a maximum capacity of 480 gph, will easily handle a ½ hp jet
pump system and comes equipped with a copper screen. The sand filter
is a more permanent installation for those who use their cottages
on a year round basis. Installation generally requires the assistance of an experienced
plumber who will take into considerations, ice levels, frost lines,
local wave action and back flushing. Cottages with the Sand Filter
installed are impressed with the clean, polished, gin clear water
they receive and have experienced extended life on all other house
hold filters. This unit requires an inline Back flush kit #7050.
Back flushing to fluff the sand is necessary at least once a month
and the day following a major storm that may cause turbid waters.
Sand and gravel, specified on the kit can be purchased locally. Note: Zebra Mussels
have changed the rules of plumbing. Jet pumps are now best installed
within 5 feet of the waters surface to allow for proper filtration. |

Plus with the incorporation of Chemical injection pump [see our Jet 2 System] for injection of chlorine into the filter media. As well as a Back Washable Carbon Filter [for removing the residual chlorine] after your pressure system will not only purify your water making it safe to drink, But will also neutralize any unpleasant tastes and odors so often associated with lake and river waters. As well carbon is the perfect media through the absorption process as it absorbs most chemicals, chlorine, pesticides, insecticides & organics that may find its way into our water. The use of this system will give your water that spring fresh, crystal clear look & taste as nature meant for water to be! [Tannins (organic colour) may require a special retention tank in addition to the above equipment for a longer chlorine contact time] Note: Requires a pressure tank of significant volume to allow backwash

These cottage systems can be protected by having your plumbing supply house supply and install your submersible pump in a Zebra 6000 housing unit. Maximum 480 gpm. This unit is the Zebra Sand Filter #7075 with an added universal housing that will carry and support your existing submersible pump. This installation requires the assistance of a qualified cottage plumber. Rated
at ½ hp. An additional #7075 can be linked to this unit to increase
capacity. |
